IMMAs feature in two new papers which appeared the in the October 2019 issue of Aquatic Conservation, Marine & Freshwater Ecosystems. One paper discusses an early warning system to monitor and keep IMMAs current in a changing environment. The other paper covers the various work packages in the GOBI-IKI project, and includes an interesting comparison of IMMAs with the CBD ecologically or biologically significant areas (EBSAs). The entire issue of the journal which reports on “Building Networks of MPAs: IMPAC 4 bringing people and the ocean together” is available for free access here.
